Structural Engineers are responsible for calculating loads and stresses placed on different areas of a structure. This involves the use of computer simulations, where predictions can be made about how a structure might react under different conditions.
Engineers are part of the design and construction team and are supported by Structural Engineering Technicians.
Structural Engineering Technicians will use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to develop design ideas and are responsible for investigating construction materials and determining which ones have properties best suited to the project.
