CILECCTA

CILECCTA is a large-scale integrating collaborative projects co-financed by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme, Cooperation Work Programme. The goal of the project is to create a user-oriented, knowledge-based suite of Construction Industry LifE Cycle CosT Analysis software for pan-European determination and costing of sustainable project options. The software will be capable of full Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) and compatible with codified Price Banks (PBs) as well as Life Cycle Inventories (LCIs) across Europe. It will also be customisable/configurable for whole assets and their components.

CILECCTA has 19 participants from 8 European countries. The project started on the 1st September 2009 and will be active for four years. BSRIA is involved in 6 of the work packages within the project (total 10). These are:

• enhancing the scientific understanding of LCCA
• LCCA software specification, build and integration with PB and LCI database access
• training and education
• dissemination and standards
• exploitation of CILECCTA project results
• project Scientific and technical management
