Overview

Soft Landings is a 6-Phase approach to help the project team focus more on the client’s needs throughout the project, to smooth the transition into use and to address issues that Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) has shown to be widespread.

POE is the process of obtaining feedback on a building's performance in use.  It is an intrinsic part of the Soft Landings process.  The value of POE is being increasingly recognised, and it is becoming mandatory on many projects.  POE is valuable in all construction sectors where poor building performance will impact on running costs, occupant well-being and business efficiency.

POE will help identify immediate issues to be addressed; areas of miscommunication; provide lessons that can be learnt to improve future projects; be a benchmarking aid to compare across projects and over time.

This workshop will look at the fundamentals of POE and how it can be applied within a Soft Landings delivery framework.
