Overview

Building controls play a vital role in buildings - from keeping people safe and increasing productivity/wellbeing, to achieving organisational and societal objectives such as reducing carbon and saving energy.

Building controls are so important when it comes to providing measurable data, whether it be on CO2 levels, humidity, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), fine dust, temperature and system performance.

Recognising the data and understanding what the data means and how it can be used is a game-changer for better performing buildings. 

This course will equip you with the knowledge and appreciation of building controls and how they can be applied successfully within buildings.

  • Understand how data is collected by building control systems and how that data can be acted upon.

  • Security of Building Management Systems.
  • Commissioning of control systems.
  • Management of building control systems, post occupancy evaluation and maintenance of controls.
