Many buildings do not perform as planned. Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is the process of obtaining feedback on a building's performance in use. It is an intrinsic part of the Soft Landings process. The value of POE is being increasingly recognised, and it is becoming mandatory on many projects. POE is valuable in all construction sectors where poor building performance will impact on running costs, occupant well-being and business efficiency.
Post-Occupancy Evaluation will help identify immediate issues to be addressed; areas of miscommunication; provide lessons that can be learnt to improve future projects; be a benchmarking aid to compare across projects and over time. This workshop will look at the fundamentals of POE and how it can be applied within a Soft Landings delivery framework.
This course will be of interest to professionals that need to have an awareness and understanding of the importance of Post Occupancy Evaluation and how this can be applied within the context of Soft Landings - for example, building owners, estate and facilities teams, designers, project managers and those involved with building design.
