The Minneapolis Duct Blaster is a calibrated air flow measurement system designed to test and document the airtightness of forced low pressure (250 Pa or less) air duct systems, low leakage dwellings with airtightness levels such as that found in Passivhaus designs, and enclosures such as hospital operating suites.
Features
- The lightweight Duct Blaster fan weighs just 3.18 kg, but delivers enough air flow to test the leakiest systems.
- Quick and accurate airtightness measurements from 5 l/s
- Compatible with both pressurization and depressurization testing.
- Standard instrumentation includes the DG-1000 pressure and flow gauge. The DG gauge contains two precision pressure sensors which provide simultaneous display of both duct pressure and Duct Blaster fan flow readings.
- Solid state variable speed fan control.
- Padded nylon carrying case with shoulder strap for easy transport to the job.
Important Note:
The Energy Conservatory series of blower doors are NOT SUITABLE for use with generators or for testing systems with pressures above 250 Pa.
Technical
The nominal performance figure for the DuctBlaster fan unit is as follows:-
- 700 l/s at 50 Pa
- 575 l/s at 100 Pa
- 300 l/s at 250 Pa
N.B. The lowest measurable flow rate is 5 l/s (17 m3/h) - Ring C
Fan dimensions 25 cm inlet diameter x 17.8 cm overall length
Fan weight 3.18 kg or 3.86 kg with 3 flow rings
Important note: All Instrument Solutions Hire models are provided with a 110V plug only
