Lone Hansen, BSRIA Research Manager, Cabling, BACS & Smart technologies

Lone has an MA in Business and Marketing and twenty five years experience in international market research and consultancy covering a range of product areas, countries and regions. Lone has been employed by BSRIA since 1996 and has been responsible for all IT network and cabling projects since 1999. Lone’s team has undertaken a wide range of research in structured cabling in local area networks and data centres. Lone has, since 2017, included Building Automation and smart products in her portfolio. The group publish yearly studies on Building Automation as well as ad-hoc studies on smart connected HVAC, smart homes etc. Lone has also been responsible for several studies covering Convergence – IoT in commercial buildings quantifying the number of connections and IoT devices in the commercial space. Lone speaks English and Danish.

Martin Chiesa – Senior Consultant

Martin has extensive experience within the marketing field, including managing and leading teams to research and implement marketing strategies, being responsible for the overall marketing output of the company. For the last 13 years Martin has been involved in global market research and consultancy mostly focused on IT Cabling and Associated Technologies, and has also been involved in  energy and renewable energy technologies, conductor materials, and lighting systems. Martin is a Business Administration graduate from the Catalonia Polytechnic University and received his MSc in Marketing from the University of Barcelona in 2001, having previously studied Computer Engineering in Tarragona (Rovira i Virgili University). Martin speaks Spanish, English, Italian and Catalan.
