Overview

This set of three guides provides designers, project managers and building owner-operators with essential guidance relating to building design and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

  • BG 56/2016 Model Format for Building Services Specifications aids efficiency and understanding for all parties involved in preparing and using specifications. It provides the general framework covering the arrangement of sections and clauses within which an author can use their content with the least amount of change.
  • BG 68/2017 Classification – An introduction covers the basics of the important topic of classification, with particular reference to building services. It explains what classification is, why it is needed, how it is used, and how to recognise a particular classification system if it is seen in use
  • BG60/2015 BIM Roadmap helps organisations to chart or map their corporate BIM strategy (which meets the Level 2 requirement by UK Government) via a number of steps. It puts all the concepts such as PAS 1192-2 into a common framework to demonstrate how they relate to each other.
