The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has issued guidance on sustainable design to supplement its Plan of Work.
The Green Overlay contains a simple set of adjustments to each of the RIBA work stage activities to cover sustainable design. The Overlay also adds checkpoints to show what else needs to be done to support a more sustainable approach. The sections on project appraisal, handover and post-completion activities recommend adoption of the Soft Landings Framework.
