PAS 1192-3 BIM specification for FMs - new standard and free BSI eventMarch 2014

In May 2011, the UK government published the construction strategy aimed at reducing the cost of public sector assets by up to 20% by 2016. To achieve this strategy, the government mandated that all companies tendering for government construction work should be working at level 2 BIM by 2016.

To assist the support of BIM for buildings is use, PAS 1192-3 Specification for information management for the operational phase of assets using building information modelling (BIM) will be published in late March. This standard is aimed at Facility managers and asset managers.

BSI is holding a free to attend event taking place on 10th April in London, including presentations from BSRIA’s BIM Champion, John Sands.
