Graham Manly, BSRIA Chairman 1991-93, has been awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours list, in recognition of outstanding contribution to the building engineering services sector.

Graham's involvement with BSRIA started in 1973 when he was elected to the Council. He was made an Honorary Member of BSRIA in November 2007 - in recognition of his significant contribution to the Association, and the industry during his time as a Council member, Board member and a Trustee of the BSRIA Pension Scheme. He was one of the prime movers in getting our market intelligence work started and was a keen supporter of the BSRIA Statistics Bulletin and our Worldwide Market intelligence Centre from its inception in 1975.

BSRIA Chief Executive, Andrew Eastwell, says of Graham "This is a richly deserved honour that comes at a time when integrating the delivery of design, contracting and operation has never been more important. In holding the top offices of BSRIA, CIBSE and the HVCA, Graham has demonstrated that integration in the most visible and effective way possible."

Graham is a chartered engineer, a CIBSE fellow and a member of the Institute of Refrigeration. He was HVCA president in 2009/10, CIBSE president in 2004/05 and is currently Business Development Director with Gratte Brothers Group.
