BSRIA member is 5,000th person to register with KTNNovember 2008

BSRIA was delighted to hear that John Mawdsley of Gilberts was the 5,000th person to register on the MBE KTN website (Modern Built Environment Knowledge Transfer Network). Delighted because Gilberts is a long-standing member of BSRIA and is interested in new technology and technology transfer and delighted to have reached this milestone for the MBE KTN.

About the MBE KTN

The MBE KTN's key aim is to stimulate collaboration between research groups and the built environment industry in order to speed up technology development process and deliver practical innovations by:

  • identifying key industry drivers and challenges
  • identifying research and knowledge gaps
  • facilitating innovation that offers technology and process solutions
  • brokering meetings to help accelerate innovation to the point of use
  • sharing knowledge through the MBE KTN website and at networking events

BSRIA along with Arup, BRE and CIRIA are the four partners involved in the MBE KTN programme each focusing in a specialised area:

  • offices (BSRIA) 
  • knowledge management (Arup) 
  • healthcare (BRE) 
  • infrastructure (CIRIA)
