BSRIA gets SAFEcontractor approvedDecember 2008

The SAFEcontractor scheme audits companies' health and safety procedures to indpendently prove safe working practices

SAFEcontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health and safety competency of contractors and service providers.

BSRIA is now SAFEcontractor accredited to reduce health and safety risks to our clients and help them fulfil their legal obligations by ensuring contractors working on their premises operate in a safe way.

Several of our clients are now insisting that their contractors are SAFEcontractor accreditied, meaning they have been independently audited for health and safety.

The accreditiation is of particular relevance to our building compliancefacilities managementinstrument solutions and troubleshooting services where site visits are essential.

David Unwin, head of BSRIA Commercial Airtightness explains, "Health and safety on-site has always been a key focus for BSRIA. Joining the SAFEcontractor scheme has allowed us to independently prove this commitment and increase the confidence of our clients".

For more information on the scheme visit the SAFEcontractor website.

Accompanied with accreditation from Constructionline, BINDT, ATTMA and UKAS for many services, BSRIA provides independent and expert consultancy, test, instrumentation and research.
