The Testo 417 anemometer features a fixed 100 mm vane to measure airflow, volume flow and temperature. Flow direction is also indicated in the display which makes this instrument an extremely versatile product especially when used in conjunction with the volume flow hoods.
Hood sizes 200 mm diameter and 330 mm x 300 mm rectangular.
The 417 can also be used with the free to download Testo Smart App that turns your smart phone or tablet into a second display. This easy to use software has menus for numerous applications, and you can create digital reports with photos that can be e-mailed.
- Temperature, flow and volume flow measurement
- Bluetooth connectivity to smart device with Testo App
- Multi-point and timed mean calculation
- Max/min values
- Hold button to freeze readings
- Display light
- Auto Off function
- Optional flow straightener available for use with swirl type grilles and diffusers
For details of the optional Testo volume flow hood sets please see separate entry within the air capture hood section of the web site. This is ideal for testing ventilation systems to Part F of the UK Building Regulations. UKAS calibrations for air volume are also available from the BSRIA Instrument Solutions Laboratory. The flow straightener is used when measuring air volumes from swirl type grilles. Here this product eliminates false readings which can be created as the direction of flow from the swirl grille can either increases or decreases the speed of the anemometer.
