The Sauermann DBM 620 balometer has been designed for the measurement of air volume from ceiling diffusers and grilles.  Supplied in the standard configuration with a 610 x 610 mm hood and collapsible space saving frame with built in flow straighteners, and a compact storage case.  The DBM 620 measuring unit communicates with smartphone or tablet devices via Bluetooth using the free easy to use SmartKap mobile App available from Google Play or Apple App store for the display and reporting of measurement data.

  • Supplied with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 preloaded with SmartKap mobile App - designed for remote data collection when the equipment is installed on the optional tripod assembly.  For normal use the use of a personal smart phone is recommended.
  • Simultaneous display of 4 parameters.  Selectable from airflow, air velocity, relative humidity, barometric pressure, temperature and differential pressure.
  • Selectable units of measure: Velocity - m/s, fpm, km/h, mph, Volume - m3/h, l/s, cfm, Pressure - Pa, mmH2O, mmHG, inWg, Atmospheric pressure, hPa and mbar.
  • HOLD function
  • ACR (Air Change Rate) function
  • Automatic averaging or point-by-point averaging
  • Removable measuring (pressure) unit for stand alone use as an autonomous micromanometer of with the measurement grid.
  • Optional hood sizes: 720 mm x 720 mm, 720 mm x 1320 mm, 420 mm x 1520 mm and 1020 mm x 1020 mm
  • Optional tripod with castors assembly for use with DBM620 and measurement grid.

Available to purchase is the Sauermann DBM 620 balometer bundle complete with 610 mm x 610 mm, 720 mm x 720 mm, 720 mm x 1320 mm, 420 mm x 1520 mm & 1020 mm x 1020 mm hoods with frames case (each hood comes with a soft zip case), instruction manuals, and calibration certificate. Note: The equipment requires a small type phone/ mobile device with the Sauermann SmartKap App installed to be used as an instrument display if data is not collected remotely via the Samsung Galaxy Tab supplied.

QQuestion What is the size of the standard carry case?
AAnswer The size of the standard carry case for the DBM 620 instrument is 500 mm H x 320 mm D x 500 mm W
QQuestion What is the range of the Bluetooth signal?
AAnswer It depends on the smartphone or tablet being used but typically 30 m is the maximum range.
QQuestion Will the hood put a back pressure on the system being tested and this influence the results?
AAnswer The instrumentation can create a small back pressure on some systems, but as they are often used as proportional balancing tools this effect is the same on each part of the ventilation system being checked. Hence the overall balancing ratio's remain constant so any system back pressue has a negligible effect on the results.
