TSI 8144 AirAssure IAQ | Air Quality Monitor

The TSI 8144 AirAssure monitors are designed to keep building occupants informed about the indoor air quality of the building.  Easy to operate these WiFi enabled devices come as 2, 4 or 6 gas models.  All include the measurement of carbon dioxide (CO2), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (tVOC), particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), temperature and humidity, with the 4 gas model additionally measuring Carbon Monoxide(CO), and Formaldehyde (H2CO), and the 6 gas model measuring Ozone (03), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (tVOC) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

The TSI 8144-2 (2 gas) model is designed to help users monitor and manage common air pollutants typically found in building spaces such as livings spaces, hallways, offices and conference rooms

The TSI 8144-4 (4 gasses) model use is similar to the two-gas version except that this also measures formaldehyde (a common volatile organic compound), so it is ideal for rooms with pressed wood building materials or furniture, cigarette or fuel-based smoke, and other textiles or glue.

The TSI 8144-6 (6 gasses) model measures ozone (O3) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels. O3 monitoring is important for buildings with copy machines or electric arc welders. NOmonitoring is important for industrial facilities with welding fumes or other emissions, and for buildings with gas stoves and other unvented appliances.

TSI AirAssure is ideal for hotels, conference centers, shopping centres, hospitals, entertainment areas, manufacturing plants, schools, and office buildings

Software

All TSI AirAssure products are sold as bundles which includes 1, 2 or a 3 year subscription to the TSI Link portal as well as the API data services functionality.  Subsequent years access is then purchased on a per unit per service basis - please contact the BSRIA Sales Team for these prices.

TSI Link access gives users access to functions such as graph and data export functionality as well as alert notifications & sensor diagnostics.  See data sheets for additional details.

The API data services subscription gives users access to TSI's OpenAPI documentation, OpenAPI REST specification, authentication credentials via OAuth2 (client credential flow), as well as consultation with the TSI cloud development team to review the steps required to access data via the REST API.

In addition to the above all TSI Link users can easily integrate air quality data in Microsoft Excel using the TSI Link Data Analyser add-in; an analytical tool developed for quick aggregation and processing of measurement data. Users can select a variety of data points to generate custom reports or leverage the 4 pre-arranged reports:

1. Time Charts - a time-based table and chart of selected measurements that enables users to see historical trends. Includes a statistics table, report header and device statistics.

2. Floorplan – users can get a visual representation of the airflow within a building. By uploading a graphic of a building's floorplan, devices are tagged to map air quality, which can be used for energy efficiency and reporting.

3. Thermal Comfort - supports your employees by economizing on the temperature and efficiency of air flow in your building. A time-based temperature-humidity scatter plot with a Too Cool / Too Warm thermal comfort curve developed by ASHRAE.

4. Time & Device Comparison – Verify your building’s ventilation, air quality, and thermal comfort performance between devices in your building.   You can also easily compare two different time periods to quantify performance between different operating conditions or configurations.

TSI Link software solutions gives you the ability to connect with your air quality data from anywhere at any time and customise an output that fits your needs best

Common customer questions & answers

QQuestion My Wi-Fi is intermittent, what happens if I loose connection to TSI Link Solutions ?
AAnswer A SD card is installed into the device at the factory. The data will be backed up on the SD card. Data is also buffered within the firmware for a limited time (data is logged for approximately one week at 15-minute intervals) and once the wi-fi connection is re-established, the buffered data is posted to TSI Link Solutions. However, if there is no wi-fi or internet connection for over a week, TSI Link Solutions will start missing data. If this happens, and if an SD card is installed in the monitor, you will need to retrieve the data manually from the card. Also, please note that the SD card cannot save data in the cloud solution or be backed up to TSI Link Solutions.
QQuestion How do I download my data from TSI Link Solutions ?
AAnswer Once you have created a TSI Link Solutions account, you can log in and download your data as a .csv file. To download your data, click the history button, adjust the parameters as desired, click the three vertical dots in the upper left-hand corner, and select export csv.
QQuestion Is my TSI Links Solutions data private ?
AAnswer When you activate your monitor(s), you can set up your data to be viewable to other TSI Link Solutions users. If you do not wish to make your data public to all other TSI Link Solutions users, you can choose to keep it private. Please note that, even if your data is not viewable to all users, you can share your data with other specific TSI Link Solutions users.
QQuestion How long do the gas sensors last on the TSI AirAssure instruments ?
AAnswer The following times are TSI’s recommended replacement intervals:

• 4-gas sensor cartridge – 1 year
• 6-gas sensor cartridge – 1 Year
• Membrane filter – When changing 4 or 6 gas cartridges
• PM sensor – 3 years
• CO2 sensor – 3 years
• Formaldehyde sensor – 1 year
