Smoke Fans

As a UKAS accredited laboratory BSRIA combines their expertise and a purpose built test facility to provide clients with recognised test reports to meet certification and regulatory needs for powered smoke ventilators in accordance with EN 12101-3:2015.

For emergency high temperature smoke and heat extraction fans, that are safety critical products, it is legally mandatory to be tested to EN 12101-3 standard and to carry the CE Mark.

Testing of the following application options:

• F200, F300 and F400 Vertical and Horizontal
• Axial, Centrifugal and Car Park Units
• 50Hz, 400V as standard, other voltages and frequencies on request 
• Operation with inverters
• Expertise in selecting test samples and providing recommendations
• Testing for specific projects

Services include:

• Advice on test sample selection to comply with range requirements
• Production of Range Reports
• Liaison with your chosen Notified Certification Body
• On-site and witness testing

Testing of other types of fans is also available including tests to ISO 5801.
