Common customer questions & answers

QQuestion How do I start the loggers and know that they are recording?
AAnswer Press [GO] for approx. 4 seconds to start the logger measurement program. The measurement program starts, and the 'Await' status changes to 'Rec' in the display to advise that the unit is now recording.
QQuestion Can the logging interval be set?
AAnswer The logging interval by default from BSRIA is to record every 5 minutes. The interval can be set accordingly by BSRIA prior to despatch - this cannot be done on the unit without being connected to a PC. Please ensure you have requested your interval set up when ordering/prior to dispatch from BSRIA if you require anything different to 5 minutes.
QQuestion Can I hire the PC logger interface and software?
AAnswer If you wish to download these loggers on-site we are able to hire you a laptop PC with the software pre loaded along with a PC interface cable and logger cradle. Please contact our Instrument Hire team for additional information.
QQuestion Can I manually stop and/or restart the logger to take measurements in a different location?
AAnswer No, once the instrument has started logging, you can only stop by connecting to a PC with the correct interface and software.
