BSRIA has in December 2023 published a new study providing an overview of the total market for HVAC controllers in the UK and US. BSRIA’s regular BACS studies cover building controllers, room controllers and HVAC controllers installed with BACS. However, a high share of HVAC equipment is installed with embedded controls, which in most cases would be excluded from the BACS numbers.
The total market for HVAC controllers in the US reached USD 780 m and 1.7 m units in 2023 and the UK market is estimated at USD 120 m and 360,000 units. The market estimates include building controllers, HVAC controllers and room controllers.
