Peter is a Principal Design Consultant within the Sustainable Construction Group providing fact based guidance and consultancy services that will help those involved in designing, constructing and operating services in buildings to improve cost, quality, time and predictability of performance. His role covers building services design reviews, delivery of training courses, researching and writing building services guidance and investigations into correctly performing building systems.
Peter has a MEng in Architectural Engineering, a charted engineer in the UK and attained Professional Engineer (PE) status in the USA.
Career Summary
Peter has 10+ years' experience in the field of electrical engineering with a proven track record of project management including field survey, conceptual design, cost analysis, project documentation, specification writing, cost estimate review, construction administration, shop drawing review and field observation during construction.
Prior to joining BSRIA Peter worked for Ballinger in Philadelphia as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Peter has been the Lead Electrical Engineer on a variety of projects including:
- College of Charleston Science Centre £25M Science building housing research and teaching labs
- Hunterdon Wellness Centre £17M Premier Health and Rehabilitation facility
- Cornell University Veterinary Medicine Building £34M Modern Veterinary Hospital with research labs
- University of Pennsylvania Centre for Advanced Medicine £190M Outpatient facility with labs, vivariums and clinical space
