Rob is looking forward to delivering BSRIA’s course, Domestic Ventilation for Installers, drawing on his extensive experience in ventilation systems to guide delegates through the design, installation, and commissioning processes essential for successful system implementation. With a deep understanding of ventilation across various building types, he looks forward to engaging with installers, sharing practical insights from his years in the field.
With 27 years at AECOM - 22 in MEP engineering and 5 in sustainability - Rob joins BSRIA as a trainer with deep industry insight. As a Chartered Engineer, he has shaped projects across diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, defence, commercial, and residential, delivering tailored solutions for a wide range of clients and building types. His work spans all stages of project development, from initial client engagement through system design, installation, commissioning, and handover.
More recently, Rob’s focus on sustainability has centred on decarbonisation strategies and heat network funding and development, primarily for central government in England, blending technical expertise with practical outcomes.
Teaching has always been a passion, from coaching and mentoring junior staff to co-founding the AECOM UK & Ireland Training & Development Steering Group and launching the MEP graduate training programme, which continues to support hundreds of staff. Rob now brings this enthusiasm to BSRIA, where he will deliver a range of courses including Mechanical Building Services - The Fundamentals, and Building Regulations Explained, as well as the new Domestic Ventilation for Installers course.
