Overview
The TSI SureFlow room pressure controller model 8636 is an ideal digital controller for laboratories with fume hoods and are designed to actually measure the room pressure differential used to prevent chemical vapors from escaping outside the laboratory. This controller will modulate supply and general exhaust air flows to maintain laboratory ventilation and the room pressure differential.
As a stand-alone device, the 8636 modulates the supply and general exhaust dampers to ensure proper pressurization. It will also maintain minimum supply volumes for ventilation (Air Changes Per Hour) and cooling, it also controls the temperature of the laboratory space, by modulating the reheat and the supply air volume.
The 8636 easily integrates to the building management system using either alarm relays or digital communications. The 8636 supports the open MODBUS protocol.
