BSRIA publishes new insight into the world cabling market March 2022

In the world cabling market, the LAN markets were recovering in 2021 but struggled with supply issues, while the data centre market continued to grow driven by demand from data centre operators.

An update of BSRIA’s World Overview for Cabling, with reports 16 countries, will be published at the end of March 2022. The new reports shed light on USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, China, Australia, India, South East Asia, Germany, UK, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal and Sweden cabling markets.

Many countries experienced a large drop in sales of copper products installed mainly in LAN applications in 2020, but recovery has been rapid in some countries. Below is an example from the US, which recovered to 2019 levels in 2021.

The data centre market displayed strong growth in most countries, including the US in 2021. The US data centre market is mature and declined slightly in 2020 due to lockdowns and social distancing rules.
