The Retrotec 5000 series of products are a mid-range air leakage test system featuring a 5000 series fan, a SmartCloth door panel and a DM32X gauge. The multi bladed fan comes with a maximum flow capacity of 8,231 m3/h (2.287 L/s) @ 50 Pa, making the system ideal for testing most residential homes.

This simple to use airtightness system includes a single fan, an aluminium door frame, a custom designed door cloth, and a DM32 touch screen gauge complete with cables and pressure tubes.

Features

The Retrotec 5000 system includes:-

  • DM32X digital manometer 
  • 5000 series fan complete with range ring A, B8 and x8 blank plugs
  • Soft gauge case
  • Single fan door SmartCloth and a standard aluminium door panel frame
  • 2m fan umbilical with tubing
  • FanTestic Lite automated testing software - downloaded from the Retrotec website (link provided)

Optional accessories for this product include a large size door frame and large size door cloth.

All Retrotec 5000 systems can be run using a free to download version of the Retrotec FanTestic software for automated fan operation, data collection, and report generation in compliance with standards such as ATTMA TSL1 and TSL2. If custom designed reports or data export into third part systems such as lodgement of results for Building Control the FanTestic Pro version of the software is required. Technical note  The 5000 series of blower doors are NOT supported by the DM-2 digital pressure gauge, and they DO NOT fit into hard door frame panels designed for other Retrotec product such as the Q5E.

Common customer questions & answers

QQuestion Is it possible to use the DM2 manometer with the 5101 Classic product?
AAnswer Unfortunately no, the 5101 product only works with the DM32 gauge system.
QQuestion There is no power on the construction site so can this unit be run off a generator?
AAnswer No. If you run this item off a generator it is possible to damage the fan motor.
QQuestion What does the FanTestic software do?
AAnswer It is the software that records and calculates readings from fans and manometers set up to measure air leakage in enclosures. When used in conjunction with Retrotec digital manometers, the software can automatically control fans and capture data in accordance with a number of standard enclosure air leakage testing procedures.
