Overview

The Kimo Debimo flow measuring blades are a simple and cost effective method of providing permanent air flow measurement in rectangular or circular ducts.

Debimo air flow measuring blades ensure accurate indication of air flow velocity and volume over the range 3 to 100m/s.

Features

KIMO has designed and manufactured the Debimo mesuring blades for use in all types of air flow systems. Debimo flow measuring blades, when correctly placed in an air flow, generate a differential pressure, the square root of which is proportional to the air flow.

Applications : air supply systems in laboratories, air conditioning systems, air flow test rigs, fume extraction and exhaust systems, vacuum cleaning systems.

Accuracy From 3 to 5% depending on the installation*

* Accuracy depends on the very low differential pressure device used. The blade factor (K ) is theoretical, and the final measure depends on the ductwork installation. KIMO recommends that after installation a site measurement is made, with an accurate anemometer, and the differential pressure device adjusted to the real flow value.

Common customer questions & answers

QQuestion Why do the blades have a minimum flow rate of 3.0 m/s?
AAnswer To measure flow a differential pressure must be created across the blade, and most pieces of measuring instrumentation are not able to measure this accurately below 3.0 m/s.
QQuestion Can the blades be positioned in any duct?
AAnswer Within reason the airflow blades can be installed in all ductwork systems. Care must be undertaken in corrosive situations to avoid mismatch in materials, and wherever possible they should be located away from bends and dampers to avoid turbulence.
