Overview
This publication presents the findings of a DTI and industry-funded research project. It describes an approach to capturing data from facilities management and using it properly to develop wisdom in building design and construction. It outlines the general principles of feedback, examines various feedback mechanisms and looks at three key areas where information that is useful for design improvement can be collected: from building operation, maintenance and incidents. Includes pro-forma data feedback forms as appendices.
