BSRIA’s BIM Level 2 Using ISO 19650 course, is aimed at people who are new to BIM Level 2 or are starting to implement BIM Level 2 on their projects or in their facilities/asset management.

This is a 1-day course explaining the basics of BIM Level 2 now that some of the UK’s national standards have been replaced by international equivalents. It provides a general awareness of what BIM is and explains how the different standards and tools support BIM Level 2 in both the public and private sectors.

The course is split into four sessions – ‘Introduction to BIM’, ‘BIM Software’, ‘The BIM roadmap’ and ‘BIM supply-chain documentation’. The course aims to help delegates appreciate how BIM Level 2 may affect what they do and the course is relevant to clients, designers, contractors, suppliers and facilities managers.

  • To provide a basic understanding of what BIM Level 2 is and the range of standards and
tools that underpin BIM implementation in the UK
  • To help explain the new concepts and language introduced in the new ISO 19650
    standards (published December 2018)
  • To help delegates appreciate where BIM Level 2 fits in with their working practices, and
what they need to do to meet the BIM objectives on projects.

Who should attend

This BIM training course is suitable for anyone who wants to benefit from the advantages using a BIM process can bring eg:

  • FMs who want to find out how BIM can help them manage information on plant and systems

This course will help all those involved in project delivery or asset/facilities management
