Overview

Embodied Carbon (EC) is the amount of CO2 emitted during the entire lifecycle of a material,
product, system or building. EC is the sum of both fuel and non-fuel related carbon emissions.
The first consists of combusted embodied energy and the latter of chemical or physical
reactions.
