Overview
Presents revised rules of thumb for assessing the design of building services. The rules have been collected from the building services industry and relate to UK design practice. They are derived from a number of sources including major design offices, individual engineers and published material. They include all the main design parameters but do not necessarily cover all detailed aspects. The rules of thumb are categorised into - Space allocation, Costs, Thermal loads, Electrical loads, CO2 emissions, System features, Environmental factors.
