  • Energy savings by testing and minimizing duct leaks
  • Compliant with the following standards:

- EN12237 Ventilation for Buildings—Ductwork—Strength & Leakage of Circular Sheet Metal Ducts

- EUROVENT 2/2 Air Leakage Rate in Sheet Metal Air Distribution Systems

- SMACNA Air Duct Leakage Testing

- EN1507 Ventilation for Buildings—Sheet Metal ducts with Rectangular Section—Requirements for Strength and Leakage

  • Accuracy is ± 2.5 % of volume flow
  • Unique performance and fan speed control charge up of duct system to test static pressure within minutes
  • Fits in the back of vans and estate cars
  • Model PAN341 comes with standard Airflow TA465P Multi-Function Instrument and PVM610 Micromanometer.
  • Automatically calculates leakage rate in real time
  • Simultaneous displays flow leakage rate and static pressure
  • Provides a pass/fail indication for a given tightness class
  • Automatically corrects actual volume flow leakage rate to Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP)
  • Monitors barometric pressure and temperature in real time
  • Stores data that can be later downloaded for report generation and documentation

Non-Bluetooth versions

The TSI meters used with the PANDA system available in non-Bluetooth varients for locations where the use of the Bluetooth comunications protocol is not alowed. You are still able to download stored data via the USB cable and software with the non-Bluetooth instruments. However, these instruments will no longer be able to be paired via Bluetooth to the 8934 wireless printer or to a Bluetooth-enabled computer.

If you require pricing on these models please contact the BSRIA Instrument Solutions technical sales team on 01344 459314 or instruments@bsria.co.uk

The part Numbers without Bluetooth are:

• PANDA System PAN341-NB        • PANDA System PAN341-110-NB

Technical

Fan performance

Please see the TSI PANDA fan performance curve .pdf datasheet for full details of the instruments performance. Nominal performance figure are:-

  • 190 l/s at 500 Pa
  • 180 l/s at 1000 Pa
  • 150 l/s at 1500 Pa
  • 120 l/s at 2000 Pa
  • 50 l/s at 2500 Pa

Please note that the TSI PANDA is not IP rated and therefore must not be used in damp or wet conditions. It should never be kept or stored outside except during use in dry conditions.

Common customer questions & answers

QQuestion How do I change the measuring units on the TA465 (i.e. kPa to Pa) ?
AAnswer From the main screen, press Menu, then scroll down to Settings and enter. Then scroll down to Select Units and enter. You can now change the display units for certain parameters - enter onto the parameter and select the unit from the list of options.
QQuestion Is the TSI Panda waterproof?
AAnswer No, the TSI Panda is not IP rated and must not be used in damp or wet conditions. It should never be kept or stored outside except during use in dry conditions.
QQuestion Will the TSI PANDA come with all the instruments for me to be able to carry out a test?
AAnswer Yes, the PANDA will come complete with all the instruments required to carry out your test including the handheld instruments TA465 and the PVM620.
QQuestion How will I know if the duct I have tested has passed the leakage test ?
AAnswer If you entered all the correct parameter’s into the handheld micro’s at the start of your test e.g.- Surface Area, Pressure in Pa, Type of Ducting and the Test Length and you know your leakage allowance (this can be found by referring to DPWA 143), then the micro will show either a Pass or a Fail.
QQuestion What is the size of the flexible ducting included in the Panda rental kit?
AAnswer The Rental Kits will include ducting that is 100mm (4 inch) diameter, and a minimum length of 3m (9ft).
QQuestion How do I know if the TSI PANDA is the correct unit to carry out my test?
AAnswer You need to know the class of ducting to be tested which establishes the required testing pressure in kPa, and the surface area of the ducting to be checked. Using this information you can then calculate the allowable leakage rate and using the Pressure Vs. Flow performance graph for the instrument establish if the unit is capable of undertaking the test i.e. below the line OK, above the either chose a different leakage tested or test a smaller area of ducting.
QQuestion How do I know if my set-up is correct before I start my leakage test?
AAnswer A detailed explanation on the equipment set-up procedure can be seen by watching the video in the download section of this product page.
