The Micronics D550 is a portable Doppler flow meter for dirty of aerated liquids. The ultrasonic sensor is clamped onto the outside of a pipe which enables quick temporary measurements to be taken whenever a permanent meter is not required. An acoustic pulse is used which is reflected back to the sensor from particles or gases in the flowing liquid. The flow rate of any fluid can be measured as long as it contains air bubbles or solids. The D550 is ideal for waste water, slurries, sludge and most chemical applications.

The TM8812 ultrasonic thickness gauge is available as an optional accessory to accurately measure the thickness of many materias including steel, cast iron, aluminium, brass, zinc and PVC. With a resolution of 0.1 mm this simple to use device has a range of 1.2 to 200 mm and operates on x4 AAA sized batteries.
IMPORTANT NOTE: BSRIA Instrument Solutions is not able to calibrate Doppler type flow meters at its Bracknell laboratory. All calibrations must either be requested at time of order or undertaken by a suitable third party facility.
