Overview
This publication contains guidance, together with an accompanying specification and a generic framework of topics and model clauses. It aims to convey the relevant information that is necessary for the contractor to understand the nature and extent of a client's requirements, the extent of the constraints attached to the delivery of these requirements and performance assessments. The guide stresses that the specification itself is not a contract, although it can form part of one, and that the specification should be read in conjunction with other contract documents.
