Overview
BSRIA has designed this course (related to BG 46) for you to gain a high-level insight into effective design and product selection considerations, installation and commissioning requirements including documentation. The course will enable you to understand the basic principles to aid you in identifying what could go wrong before it happens and what may be contributing to poor performance post installation (in accordance with the Building Regulations – in particular, Part F).
Why is this course crucial?
Designing, installing, testing, and commissioning domestic ventilation systems are critical tasks that, if not performed competently, often result in high failure rates. These failures can lead to a range of issues, from increased costs to rectify problems, to serious human health concerns and decreased building occupant satisfaction resulting in reputational damage.
Understanding Part F Ventilation
Part F of the Building Regulations states the minimum requirements for ventilation and provides guidance to achieve this. However, this guidance is frequently misunderstood or overlooked by the industry. Our course is crafted to simplify these regulations and the latest industry guidance, making it easy to comprehend the rules and recognise best practice.
The Importance of Energy Efficiency
With the growing emphasis on energy efficiency, ventilation has become a vital feature of domestic properties. The scrutiny on ventilation systems is set to increase, making it more important than ever to stay ahead of the curve.
Who should attend
Anyone involved in the delivery and/or on-going maintenance of domestic ventilation. Our course is open to a wide audience as it provides a high-level overview of ventilation systems, their components, design principles, installation best practice, commissioning and documentation.
Whether you're an experienced developer, trade, owner/operator, or new to the field, this course will enhance your understanding, expertise and proficiency when working with domestic ventilation systems. This includes exploring why so many ventilation systems fail independent verification tests.
