The backdrop to this debate will be the latest guide: BG 79/2020 Handover and O&M Manuals. The effective operation of a complex asset such as a building relies on the availability of accurate information about the asset itself. Much of the information about the asset is delivered at handover of the construction project to the client. BSRIA’s new guide, BG 79/2020, covers the various documentation delivered and activities carried out at handover of a building, with particular focus on operating and maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Colin Goodwin, BSRIA Technical Director, said, “This guide comes at an important time and is a significant step to improving the flow and quality of handover information from the construction team to the end client and building operators, and in essence supports the 'golden thread' for building services related information and documentation.”

Speakers for the event include:

Nick Blake - BSRIA & BG 79 author

Daren Bezants - Association of University Engineers

Ashley Buckland - JB Associates

Ashley said "We are delighted to be supporting this webinar as we understand the importance of having good and clear handover information issued. Following fundamental processes and formatting is so important and we are excited to contribute to share our experience and contribute to the debate.”

We will also be joined by a panel who will be debating and discussing this important topic. Certainly not an event to be missed.

Join us to listen and indeed participate in what promises to be an informative and engaging debate.
