This edition supersedes BSRIA TN 21/97, TN 22/97 and BG 6/2006.

The publication provides a framework for allocating many of the design activities needed to complete a construction project, to the different members of a project team. Summarises some of the perceived shortcomings in past and current practice.

The appendices break design activity into key stages and are presented as pro-formas for allocating design among the members of the project team. These are supported by pro-formas for allocating drawing production.

This second edition is now based upon the 2008 RIBA Plan of Work and the 2007 CIC Consultants' Contract.
