The AC6-SP+ and the AC6-HP+ electronic manometer from Comdronic designed specifically to measure hydraulic differential pressure across balancing valves and orifice plates. Available in two pressure ranges the product incorporates an easy to use menu system with a large “graphical” display. Both devices use state-of-the-art software and an extensive database of balancing valves to provide a direct reading of flow as well as differential pressure, percentage of design flow and the target flow.
All purchases of new Comdronic differential pressure meters come with an exclusive 50% discount traceable calibration voucher. This entitlement is non-transferable, must be used within 18 months of purchase, it excludes carriage and is only valid for purchases direct from BSRIA. For more details on this exclusive entitlement please contact the sales team on 01344 459314 or e-mail instruments@bsria.co.uk
Features
Simplicity
Unlike any other commissioning unit, the most commonly used functions - Flow and Pressure - are shown as the default screen from the display menu. This means that for general commissioning purposes the most valuable data is shown at the touch of a button - in large text.
The nine-button keypad allows simple navigation through a menu system which provides the option to select the most appropriate screen for the work being carried out. The 'Multi Display' has the ability to show more complex commissioning data and it can be set to the 'Flow / Pressure Display' if automatic balancing valves are being measured, or if a system of proportional balancing is being adopted. Alternatively, the 'Pressure Display' is the simplest option available and is designed for applications where the AC6 is being used as a simple manometer.
Sophistication
Accuracy of measurement is of course one of the most important elements of the function of commissioning units. The Comdronic instruments give differential pressure readings to an accuracy of ± 1 % of reading or ± 0.1 kPa whichever is the greater for the AC6-SP+ version, and ± 1 % of reading or ± 0.2 kPa whichever is the greater for the AC6-HP+ version . A user-adjustable damping system further improves reading confidence on unstable systems.
Convenience
Designed to be as portable as possible, the compact and lightweight AC6 handset is easily operated in the hand or may be clipped to a lanyard. The complete unit includes a handset in a protective rubber boot; a pair of connection tubes with integral isolation valves; two sets of Binder-style adaptors; a screwdriver, 3, 4 & 5 mm Hex Keys, complete with a set of user instructions; quick stat guide and calibration certificate. All in a rigid plastic carry case with profiled foam inserts for added protection during transportation between sites.

It should be noted that the angle pattern connectors are recommended for all 'difficult to access' measurement locations.
Wherever possible the manufacturer programmes into the instrument the Kv characteristics of most common valves in the market. Currently this is over 6,000 individual valve types from 80 manufacturers, but some manufacturers such as TA Hydronics will not release data relating to some of their new products. If your application requires use in these instances please check with our technical team to check product suitability.
