Overview

BSRIA's Commissioning Job Book replaces AG5/2002 Commissioning Management.

Commissioning is too important to be considered as no more than the very last stage that must be completed before practical completion. To meet the demands imposed on the 21st century built environment, buildings (and the ways in which they are designed and built) need to be less resourceful and carbon intensive. But how can you cost effectively manage the process to ensure it gets the level of attention and project time it deserves?

 BSRIA has the answer in the Commissioning Job Book, written for everyone in construction to see how commissioning fits into their project activity from the preparation stage, through design and construction to handover and after care. Provides a stage-by-stage set of management guidance to help project teams deliver better performance outcomes in buildings. The tables in the job book provide a reminder to ensure there are adequate funds set aside for commissioning, to set up the commissioning team early but to understand that this team will change as more specialists come on board, and to keep a log of commissioning issues from the outset of the project.
