The Facilities Management Contracting Model (FMCM) Team from the Government Procurement Service has updated its plans for FMCM Procurement of government and wider public sector FM contracting.
The procurement has evolved as a result of the extensive stakeholder engagement undertaken over the past few months and the need to support the creation of two separate procurement vehicles - a Facilities Management (FM) framework, which is intended for large scale, nationwide requirements, and a Marketplace designed to address specialist FM needs, typically (but not exclusively), delivered on a regional/local basis.As a result of the work necessary to establish the new model, the timescales previously communicated to stakeholders have been revised and it is now planned to separate the framework and marketplace procurement exercises.
