BSRIA charges towards decarbonisation

BSRIA celebrates World EV day (9 September) by launching three fast OZEV (Office for Zero-Emission Vehicles) approved commercial electric vehicle charge points installed at its Head Office in Bracknell.

Selecting the Easee Charging Robots along with an OZEV approved installer enabled access to The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), which reduces the purchase and installation cost of new workplace charging stations.  The charge points support charging up to 22 kW and have Type 2 universal charging connectors, providing the necessary infrastructure to further support the wider use of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in line with Point 4 of the UK Government’s Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution.

Tom Garrigan, Technical Director said “We are delighted to have contributed to the expansion of the UK electric vehicle charge point infrastructure as part of our efforts towards accelerating decarbonisation.  The installation of the Charging Robots provides an outlet for colleagues, customers and visitors to charge their electric vehicles at our Head Office in Bracknell.  With the ban on the new pure combustion-engined car and van sales in the UK by 2030, these accessible charge points further support the switch to an electrification journey.

BSRIA Information Officer, Maria Thanigasalam, cuts the ribbon to open the new electric vehicle charging stations at BSRIA HQ in Bracknell.
