BSRIA is delighted to announce that Dr Sarah Birchall, Sustainability Engineer and Krystyna Dawson, Senior Manager, Heating & Renewables, BSRIA Worldwide Market Intelligence will be speaking at the 12th REHVA World Congress CLIMA 2016 in Aalborg, Denmark. It runs from Sunday 22nd to Wednesday 25th May.
The scope of the congress is to offer researchers, industry, building owners, end users, consultants, engineers, architects and policy-makers a platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and experiences on innovative technical solutions and on practical applications and technical solutions.
CLIMA 2016 is a “truly multidisciplinary congress” – succeeding in achieving high living and indoor environmental qualities in nearly zero energy buildings is the result of the integrated effort of many different building professionals – each playing their role. It is a congress for all stakeholders in the building sector as it deals with the whole life cycle of buildings and their HVAC systems from design specification to demolition and reuse.
Sarah said: “BSRIA is delighted to be involved in CLIMA 2016 which will especially focus on energy efficient buildings and HVAC system performance in practice– both in relation to fulfilment of the intended design and their ability to fulfil the needs of the occupants and to interact with the users. Plus their role in the future smart energy system.”
Sarah will present a paper on ‘survey and simulation of energy use in the European building stock’, which summarises some of the results from the EU FP7 project iNSPiRe and Krystyna on ‘the impact different approaches to the implementation of government policies have on the markets’.
