BSRIA is delighted to announce that it is supporting both the Scotland Build 2015 Expo on 25th & 26th November 2015, at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) Glasgow and the North England Build 2016 Expo on 27th & 28th April, Manchester Central.
The Scottish construction industry is growing at its strongest rate in over five years. Construction contracts in Scotland in the past 12 months have outperformed most other parts of the UK, as the economy returns to pre-2008 levels and the Scottish government makes significant infrastructure investment. Approximately £40bn worth of contracts are set to be awarded in Scotland over the coming few years. Housing construction is on the rise across Scotland. In addition to many private initiatives, the Scottish government is building nearly five times as many council houses as the rest of the UK.
BSRIA sees Scotland Build 2015 as the ideal opportunity for the industry to get involved in Scotland’s booming construction industry and to access major developers, contractors and suppliers from across Scotland and around the world.
The construction industry across the North of England is also set to boom. The UK government is set to invest heavily in multiple schemes across the North of England aimed at establishing a “Northern Powerhouse” that competes strongly in the world economy. Alongside infrastructure investment, substantial investment is to be made in the regeneration of city centres.
North England Build 2016 is the only event of its kind to cover construction opportunities and projects across all of the north.
Tim Page, Marketing Manager, said: “BSRIA is delighted to be working with Oliver Kinross to promote these expos. Attendance will ensure the industry is kept up to date with the latest industry developments, they can find out about the latest construction projects, network with industry peers, meet senior level executives from a large number of local and international companies, and ensure they stay at the top of their field.”
