Civil Engineers are responsible for designing and managing the construction processes of a project.
Whilst they are most well-known for working on projects such as bridges and transport infrastructure (railways, roads etc.), they also play a key role in projects surrounding the construction of high rise and tower block buildings.
Qualified Engineers will be involved in designing and overseeing the project, whilst Civil Engineering Technicians will have a heavier involvement in the actual installation process.
They may also work closely with other Engineering specialisms such as:
- Environmental Engineering
- Geotechnical Engineering
