Nick is a chartered building surveyor and one of the first members of the National Register of Access Consultants. He first became involved in accessible and inclusive design in the mid-nineties as part of project managing adaptive works for a large bank with 400 properties. This sparked an interest in accessible design which has grown into a significant part of his business and he now works for major retailers, hotels, The Jockey Club of Great Britain and numerous city centre redevelopments.
Nick is currently the access consultant on the redevelopment of Swansea City Centre and the new Faculty of Engineering building at UWE as well as the extension to Borough Market, and numerous smaller schemes such as Bath Library, and Local Authority one stop shop community offices.
Nick has very close ties to the National Star College a nationally renowned college for severely disabled young adults. Nick promotes the College with events and seminars and raced to the North Pole in 2007 raising over £125,000 for their charity.
