Andrew's particular interests are indoor air quality, energy efficient and low energy design in buildings. Andrew Geens is formerly Professor of Building Services Engineering at the University of Glamorgan and now Head of CIBSE Certification. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, his particular interests in indoor air quality, energy efficient and low energy design in buildings are reflected in his teaching, research and consultancy activities both in the UK and mainland Europe.

Recent Career Summary

Andrew has been involved with professional and qualification bodies over the last 24 months, advising on the delivery of the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations. This has included working with ABBE in developing qualifications in non-domestic energy assessment, and providing training support for organisations including the Building Services Research and Information Association, (BSRIA), where he is an Associate.

Andrew is a member of the National Council and the Academic Accreditation Panel of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
