Julia Evans OBE, Chief Executive, BSRIA
Julia took up the role as CE of BSRIA in 2014 and leads the organisation as it seeks to ‘make buildings better’. Since 1955 BSRIA has worked in the field of HVAC and is an integral part of the response to the sustainability and environmental challenges of the modern day. Simply thinking of BSRIA as improving the built environment does not do justice to the expertise and extent of the services available or the knowledge on offer to members and ergo to wider industry.
BSRIA also extends its influence and reach by collaboration within the representative bodies in the sector. Accordingly, Julia sits on the Board of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) where she led the 2021 Strategic Review. She supports the Construction Industry Training Board on its Industry Funding Committee and supports education most recently as a Governor and Chair of Leeds College of Building.
She supports the relevant Minister of the day by her appointment to the Building Regulation Advisory Committee where she sits as in independent member and Deputy Chair.
Passionate about Inclusion and Diversity, Julia was awarded an OBE in 2018 for her work in the sector.
