Airtightness of ductwork is the key to a quality heating and cooling system. It helps make the building healthy, comfortable and energy efficient.
BSRIA provides laboratory and on-site testing of different types of ducts:
• Rectangular with flanged duct joints in accordance with HVCA standard DW144 / TM1 : 1987.
• Ductwork with circular sections or round ducts in accordance with other European and International standards
A test report is issued on completion detailing the joint rating, measured flange deflection, material characteristics and air leakage rate.
Our technical experts can carry out the ducting airtightness testing in BSRIA's laboratory or on-site. We also help manufacturers during product development in order to solve problems and ensure that the product performance will match project specification.
